I believe strongly that God has been talking to me this week a lot about prayers. I am being reminded that :
“Prayer is the key”. In order for me to experience the fullness of God’s promises which are already settled in heaven; they need to be called (prayed/spoken) into existence -The power of life and death lies in the tongue. I was reminded of how God created the universe by speaking them into existence; if words can create the whole universe, then my words can bring things into existence by faith – Genesis 1 and Hebrews 113 (By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God's command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible - NIV). We have to start speaking what we want for our lives, home, family, career etc . into existence. We need to use our words in the right way. We have been given faith to believe for the impossible.
“Pray without ceasing”. We need to pray at all times. We don’t have to wait for an ideal place and situation to pray. Prayer means talking or having a conversation with God. Just like we can talk to our friends in a room, in the car, in the kitchen, over the phone at any time of the day etc- that is how God wants us to take our prayers. Stop feeling guilty and waiting for an ideal time and place- it is the trick of the enemy to make sure you don’t pray at all. Praying should be an ongoing exercise.
We need to revisit God’s promises and prophecies on our lives and begin to pray them into existence.
